review 1: This was a very sweet and funny short story, which I must try to remember to reread at Christmas next year. Better read after the second book, but really all that you get is that St Mary's survives everything history throws at it, unless that should actually be the other way around! Given that book three is on the way that should be obvious, anyway. And after the end of book two's revelation of WHERE they'll be going next, I can't wait to a painful degree.
review 2: This is a really nice little filler, after the second in the Chronicles of St Mary's. Max has returned to St Mary's, after being sent to watch the coronation of King William in 1066, but something went a little bit wrong...or did it?The interaction between the characters is lovely, even in such a ... moreshort story, and I can hardly wait for the next book in the series.
