review 1: The book review says "hair-raisingly scary"; hmm...not so much. It seemed a little long in the telling to me at times. I like Maberry to death, but I don't think this was one of his better titles. Imura's name was mentioned several times which brought other Maberry titles to mind. It turns into a prequel nod to Tom Imura when he took his younger brother Benny and ran from home. Not really a spoiler, it has no impact on this story.
review 2: Mr mayberry has done it again, put another twist to the zombie outbreak like he did with his patient zero book which introduced tough guy Joe Ledger. Fall of Night the sequel to the best zombie book ever Dead of Night carries on were the 1st book ends. Dez and Billy Trout are still stuck in stebbins little school protectin
... moreg the town's kids while all around the world is falling apart. The tension builds to unbearable levels as each chapter goes by as things escalate out of control, I'm not giving anything away as it would spoil the twists and turns that this terrific book throws your way. Would highly recommend reading Dead of Night first as you can't really just pick Fall of Night up get into story properly. You won't be disappointed by this series, God I cannot wait to see where things go next. less
