review 1: I really wish I could give half stars because I would give this one a solid 3.5. I picked up this book in a small bookstore simply because it had a quote on the cover by Stephen King - "The most suspenseful book I read all year." Well, I respect Mr King's opinions so I picked it up. It was very good and very suspenseful but some of the things that were written about were pretty twisted and unnerving. Plus, since I'm not Australian and I don't live in London, I didn't understand some of the language and spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out what was being said. With all this said, I think I will read the first book in this series (I didn't know this was book number 3 until I was well into it) because I really like the main character. He's a psychologist and profe... moressor with Parkinson's and very interesting. This was a good summertime read and will keep your attention.
review 2: My goodness what can I say about this well I wish I had discovered this author a lot sooner he writes so well. This story had me on the edge of the seat in fact holding my breath in places wondering what was coming. You like his characters and you want to know what happens next. I gave this 5 stars only because that is all we are allowed definitely 100 stars in my book. Suspense is the word here gradually it dawns on you how the "criminal" is I had to resist racing to the end I just had to know what it would be in the finish. Cleverly constructed interspersed chapters from the criminal stance heighten it. I will be getting the rest of this authors books in top speed. I don't do spoilers. Take my word if you like a novel based on a main character who has a psychological background and a darn good story you won't go wrong it getting this book. less
