review 1: Als whodunit niet onaardig, maar (a) ik heb een instinctieve hekel aan Frieda Klein die bij elk boek groter wordt, (b) het begint vervelend te worden dat in elk boek uit deze serie de cruciale actie wordt ondernomen door de doodgewaande Dean. De huidige reeks glijdt gevaarlijk af in de richting van de Kay Scarpetta-boeken (ook zo'n naar iemand) van Patricia Cornwell. Ik troost me met de gedachte dat er maar zeven dagen van de week zijn.
review 2: Gripping but not grisly; the complex character of Frieda Klein, loner and psychotherapist, must solve a crime from her past that is having consequences on the present and will into the future if the villain isn’t stopped. The pursuit of justice comes at high cost to the doctor who must go back to her childhood town ... moreand re-open old wounds.
